About Me.

William Deacon

First off, Hello! My name is William Deacon and I love designing and developing websites. I currently have 11 years of experience in the web industry, in both the private and government setting. I graduated from James Madison University in 2010, where I majored in Media Arts and Design concentrating in Interactive Media and minoring in Computer Information Systems. I was very active at JMU and a member of several clubs and organizations including: the Marching Royal Dukes, Kappa Kappa Psi, National Honorary Band Fraternity (Beta Zeta class, Spring 2007) and SafeRides.

Currently, I work for Healthy Directions as a web designer and developer. Previously, I worked for ENGILITY corporation (formerly L-3/MPRI) supporting the Thomas Jefferson Award-winning Army.mil web services contract, where some of my projects were included as features on national TV programs including The Daily Show with John Stewart.

I try to stay active as much as possible. I am a volunteer firefighter and EMT-Basic in Loudoun County, VA at Sterling Volunteer Rescue Squad, where I currently serve as an ambulance Attendant in Charge and driver. I am also an Eagle Scout of the Boy Scouts of America. I contribute much of my leadership drive and determination to these activities.
